Terms and Conditions

By registering to the World Department Store Forum (WDSF) you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

General

Registration is not considered confirmed and entrance not permitted until payment of the cost contribution has been received in full. Delegates can register on the website of the WDSF www.wdsf2011.org, by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal) or wire transfer.

The cost contribution to the WDSF is entitling to an entry at the two-day conference WDSF, refreshments, and participation to the Official Dinner on Thursday evening 9 June 2011 and to the Farewell Dinner on Friday 10 June 2011. The cost contribution does not include travel to or from the conference venue or any accommodation costs incurred. No partial refund will be made if a delegate attends only one day of WDSF conference or is not in the position, for whatever reasons, to participate to the Official Dinner or to the Farewell Dinner.

In addition to the WDSF conference, delegates have the possibility to join a Store Tour organized on Friday 10th June in the afternoon. Cost contribution for the Store Tour is €50,-. The Store Tour is optional and reserved only for WDSF delegates. No partial refund will be made if a delegate registered for both the WDSF conference and the Store Tour, and is not in the position, for whatever reasons, to participate to the conference or to the Store Tour.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing by email (info@wdsf2011.org) or fax (+41 44 291 5000).

  • Cancellations received before 18 April 2011 will be eligible for 100% refund.
  • Cancellations received between 19 April and 9 May 2011 shall incur an administration charge of €150,-. You agree that this charge represents a genuine pre-estimate of the costs occurred as a result of cancellation.
  • Cancellations received after 9 May 2011 and 'no shows' are not refundable.

In the unlikely circumstance that the WDSF has to be cancelled for any reason within the control of the organizer, a credit voucher for the full payment of the WDSF conference and the Store Tour will be issued for part or full payment for any IGDS Global Conferences (Global Department Store Summit, World Department Store Forum). The organizer shall not be liable to delegate's travel, accommodation or other costs if WDSF is forced to cancel the WDSF as a result of an event beyond organiser's control (including, without limitation, to acts of force majeure, floods, lightning, storm, fire, explosion, war, military operations, acts of terrorism or threats of any such acts, any strike action, lock-outs or other industrial action and a pandemic, epidemic or other widespread illness).

If the WDSF is postponed for reasons beyond the direct control of the organizer, your booking will be transferred to a revised date. The terms listed here will apply to all transferred bookings. In the case of a postponed meeting, the cancellation policy will be adjusted in order to be in accordance with the new WDSF date.

In exceptional circumstances it may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organizer of the WDSF to alter the content, venue, or the date and timing of the conference, all participants will be notified in advance of such changes. However, WDSF cannot be held liable for any costs occurred. Also, this action does not entitle delegate for refund.
